Chattanooga, TN – According to the statement, this initiative aimed to equip participating youth with essential life-saving skills.

‘Stop the Bleed’ is a nationwide campaign that empowers bystanders to take immediate action during emergencies, particularly in cases of severe bleeding, a leading cause of preventable death in trauma incidents.

The training session featured hands-on activities using artificial limbs and simulated blood to replicate real-life scenarios.

Certified instructors from Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital worked closely with youth and staff at Wilder, teaching them crucial techniques such as applying pressure, using tourniquets, and effectively packing wounds.
