MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Bishop, a French brasserie inside the Central Station Hotel, is set to close this week, but owners promise a new restaurant in the space soon.

The restaurant confirmed with WREG on Tuesday that their last day open will be on Sunday, July 7. They are located at the corner of South Main Street and G.E. Patterson Avenue.

“Though it’s bittersweet to close Bishop, we’re pumped about evolving our world-class dining and cocktail programs with an awesome new concept,” said McLean Wilson, Principal at Kemmons Wilson Companies. “Huge thanks to Andy Ticer, Michael Hudman, the South Main Arts District, and all of Memphis for the love and support. Your encouragement fuels our journey into this next chapter.”

Wilson said a brand-new restaurant will open in Central Station this fall.

This comes after the closing of another hotel restaurant, Longshot.

Longshot is a downtown bar and shuffleboard den located at Arrive Hotel on South Main Street, only a block from the Central Station Hotel.

The restaurant announced their last day open for business was Saturday, June 29. However, they are still available for private events and celebrations, according to their website.

The website also says, “Stay tuned for forthcoming announcements and future plans”.
