The Zach Edey Las Vegas summer league experience continues to elude Grizzlies fans after the 7-foot-4 rookie appeared to roll his ankle in Salt Lake City. However, he sat and spoke about dealing with the injury with ESPN's Kendra Andrews at halftime of the Toronto Raptors-Utah Jazz preceding the Grizzlies game with the Orlando Magic on Wednesday.

"Yeah, it's tough not being able to play," Edey said. "Going to all the games and just watching, but you've just got to support your teammates, and find joy through that."

The plan for Edey is for him to still appear at some point with the Grizzlies in the Las Vegas Summer League.

One of the main criticisms that the NBA scouts and draft experts had of Edey was his ability to adjust to NBA pace and space. He talked about the spacing dynamics he's coming into with the Grizzlies and one of the NBA's most dynamic players in Ja Morant.

"The game's faster. Like, everybody's old, their bodies have matured." Edey said. "The main thing is learning to space around other people. Getting comfortable playing on the perimeter, doing different things out of the pick-and-roll.

"At Purdue, everybody kind of spaced around, and (in Memphis), that's not gonna happen."
