The conference portion of Memphis basketball's 2024-25 schedule started coming into focus Thursday.

The American Athletic Conference announced its scheduling pairings for the 13 teams in the league, including the Tigers. Each team will play 18 conference games − six home-and-home, three home-only and three away-only.

Dates and tip-off times for the Tigers' AAC games will be announced later.

Penny Hardaway's team will see UAB and FAU − the only two AAC teams to experience March Madness last season − twice in 2025. UAB and FAU lost in the first round of the NCAA Tournament to San Diego State and Northwestern, respectively.

Andy Kennedy's Blazers return reigning AAC Defensive Player of the Year Yaxel Lendeborg. FAU returns just four players, none of whom started any games for the Owls. Dusty May left FAU to become coach at Michigan, while stars Vladislav Goldin (Michigan), Johnell Davis (Arkansas), Alijah Martin (Florida) and Nick Boyd (San Diego State) transferred.

The four other league opponents the Tigers will face multiple times are defending regular-season conference champion South Florida, Wichita State, Temple and Rice.

For the first time since both programs' first season in the AAC (2013-14), Memphis and Tulane will meet just once. The Tigers will square off against the Green Wave at Fogelman Arena in New Orleans. The other away-only opponents for Memphis will be UTSA and Charlotte.

That leaves East Carolina, Tulsa and North Texas as teams Memphis will face only at FedExForum.

Memphis' non-conference schedule has not yet been finalized, but most of it is already in place:

Away games: UNLV (TBA), Clemson (TBA) and Virginia (Dec. 18).

Neutral-site games: San Francisco (Nov. 21 at the Chase Center) and Maui Invitational (Nov. 25-27).
