Memphis Grizzlies rookie Zach Edey has been out of action for a little over a week due to a lingering ankle injury. This issue has forced him to miss five straight NBA Summer League games, which has been quite a bummer for fans who were hoping to see what this young man could do in the NBA's preseason tournament.

Well, supporters are not fretting anymore after Edey's status for Thursday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans was announced.

Finally, after missing out on some Edey action for the better part of the Summer League, fans will be treated to an on-court appearance by the No. 9 overall pick of the 2024 NBA Draft.

The Grizzlies made the official announcement just before tip-off.

Edey has featured in just one Summer League game for the Grizzlies thus far, a 97-95 overtime loss against the Utah Jazz on July 8. He logged 14 points on 7-of-12 shooting, 15 rebounds, and four blocks. It was also the 7-foot-4 center who forced overtime after a buzzer-beating tip-in.

Edey will be eager to show the fans what they've been missing on Thursday night.
