MEMPHIS, Tenn. — 210 years—that’s the sentence handed down to a Memphis man, convicted of eight armed robberies, one attempted robbery, and eight counts of using a firearm during a crime.

The crimes happened in the summer of 2022, and the last incident ended with a police chase through Memphis.

Marchello Moore, 42, will spend the rest of his life in prison, and it still won’t be the full sentence.

WREG previously reported that Moore escaped from the Dismas Charities Halfway House in March of 2022, where he was serving the remainder of his sentence for two 2014 robberies.

He then went on to commit eight more armed robberies at gas stations and other stores across the city.

In a ninth incident, Moore tried to rob the Circle K on Getwell Road in Parkway Village but fled without any money.

Police caught up with him when his car ran out of gas, and he was taken into custody.
