A little before 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a stabbing at South Bellevue Boulevard and Harbert Avenue.

The victim told police she was approached by Malone because he wanted to “holler” at her. When she refused his advances, Malone allegedly attacked her, stabbing her in the leg multiple times.

Officers eventually found Malone at Lamar Avenue and Haywood Avenue. He was in possession of the knife used during the attack, police say.

The victim was taken to Regional One in non-critical condition.
