Memphis athletics' chief revenue officer Brad Loos is headed to Missouri | Source

New Memphis athletic director Ed Scott will have at least one more key position to fill.

Brad Loos, senior associate AD/chief revenue officer, has accepted the job of senior associate AD for development at Missouri under former Memphis AD Laird Veatch, a source with direct knowledge of the situation told The Commercial Appeal late Thursday. The source requested anonymity because an official announcement has not yet been made.

Loos is the latest in a string of departures in recent weeks. Also on Thursday, a source told The Commercial Appeal that deputy AD Jeff Crane (who also served as the school's interim AD after Veatch was hired at Mizzou) is leaving to become the senior deputy AD at South Carolina. Earlier this month, Michael Schroeder (associate AD for integrated communications and marketing), Josh Moore (assistant AD for marketing and gameday presentation) and Emily Hagans (director of athletic stewardship engagement) each left Memphis to reunite with Veatch.

Loos is returning to Mizzou, where he worked from 2017-23 in development. Before that, he spent three seasons as an assistant coach for former Mizzou basketball coach Kim Anderson. Loos came to Memphis in August 2023.

Loos was no stranger to Memphis. His father, Dave Loos , played point guard for the Tigers (1966-69), later served as an assistant coach (1986-90) under legendary Tiger Larry Finch, and is a member of the school's M Club Hall of Fame. Dave Loos was also coach at Christian Brothers University (1982-86) before guiding Austin Peay to five Ohio Valley Conference titles in 27 seasons as coach of the Governors.

Scott, whose first official day on the job at Memphis is Monday, comes to the Tigers from Virginia where he spent two years as its deputy AD. Before that, he served as AD at Morgan State. During Scott's introductory press conference on June 28, he said that experience would be helpful if he needed to address staffing needs at Memphis.

"I've built a team (before)," said Scott. "I've got a deep bench with a lot of people that I believe would come to work for Memphis in a heartbeat if they got the phone call from me.”
