    Alleged shoplifter pepper sprays Target employee

    MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Polic e are looking for a woman they say attempted to steal from a local Target and pepper sprayed an employee when he stopped her.

    On July 1 at 5:19 p.m., two women entered Target at 601 Colonial Road. They put over $600 worth of merchandise in their cart. After the suspects passed the last point of sale without paying, they were approached by Target Loss Prevention staff.

    MPD: Man points gun at 2 Dixie Queen employees

    One woman was wearing a white hat and a grey shirt pulled out a can of pepper spray and sprayed the loss prevention representative.

    As the representative was attempting to get away, the woman chased him and continued to spray him. He was able to recover the merchandise.

    Memphis Police say that no arrests have been made, but this is an ongoing investigation.
