Whether you know him as Paul Blart or Firefighter Larry, Kevin James is an undeniable entertainer that always has something to say. In fact, it is something that James said before a Daytona 500 race back in 2007 that is the gift that keeps on giving.

On Tuesday night, James took everyone back to Daytona before the start of the New York Mets game against the Baltimore Orioles. However, he had four things to say on this night:

"God Bless America. God bless our troops. God bless the New York Mets, and gentlemen, LET'S PLAY BALL!!!"

James rallied the New York crowd with patriotism, and even 17 years later, his call will never get old. James was asked to throw the ceremonial first pitch at the game. His pitch fell inches short of the plate, so James decided to make up for it with the microphone.

Honestly, he made up for his throw and then some. Always give Kevin James a microphone.

As the game kicked off, James was still seen around the stadium. He is a New York native and seems to relish in the opportunity to watch his team. Engaged in an interview during the bottom of the 4th inning, James was still determined to stay in the game.

MLB's official 'X' account even called James a national treasure, and honestly, who could disagree?

His enthusiasm is unmatched, his energy is contagious, and there is no reason why James shouldn't be a sports announcer at this point. His distinct tone would shake up sports radio for sure.

James continues to be a relevant figure in the entertainment industry as he goes on tour with his own comedy show, "Owls Don't Walk." The 2024 leg of his show is slowly coming to an end with only four shows left, but he has graced the nation with plenty of appearances this summer.

For a touch of nostalgia, check out James' original call for patriotism back in 2007 here , and remember to keep those engines running.
