The Bloomington Police Department is actively seeking assistance from the public in identifying a suspect involved in a hit-and-run incident. The collision, which left an unoccupied vehicle damaged, transpired on the 5th of July, 2024, at the Mall of America east ramp at around 10:50 PM. According to a post made by the Bloomington Police Department, the driver was reportedly "driving recklessly" before hitting the parked vehicle.

New Twin Cities domestic violence shelter to allow pets
MAPLEWOOD, Minn. — The nonprofit Tubman broke ground on Wednesday night at Harriet's Haven for Pets in Maplewood.It's a first for the Twin Cities: a place dedicated to protecting Minnesotans from violence with a place for their pets, too. The space will be added on to its domestic violence shelter. Tubman says more than half of domestic violence survivors delay leaving abusive relationships because they're afraid their pets won't be safe. Now, those pets will be able to come with them. MINNEAPOLIS — The Minneapolis City Council has approved new contracts for the city's police officers with a vote of 8-4.Minneapolis police will now see some of the highest salaries across Minnesota within a matter of years. The four council members who voted against approval were Jason Chavez (Ward 9), Aisha Chughtai (Ward 10), Jeremiah Ellison (Ward 5) and Robin Wonsley (Ward 2).
