Goodwill Stores in Minnesota Will Not Accept These Donations
It's the perfect day to open the windows and deep clean your house. Find those things that haven't seen the light of day for a good while. I love decluttering and donating stuff I'm not using anymore. There's something so freeing about getting rid of "junk," and you know what they say - one person's junk is another's treasure. ;)

When was the last time you went out to see a movie at a theater? For me, it WAS somewhere between 7 and 10 years ago. I say WAS because I had the chance to check out the improvements to the Emagine Rogers theater last night, and all I have to say is WOW!

Could traditionally blue Minnesota be within Trump's reach?
MINNEAPOLIS — Last weekend, a presidential race like no other dipped further into the improbable, with the survival of former President Donald Trump from an assassin's bullet by just millimeters.Trump's defiant response to the assassination attempt, captured in unforgettable images, has even Trump critics calling it one of the defining moments of the 2024 campaign."That is kind of political rocket fuel. And so I think you're seeing a consolidation of the Republican Party much faster than I think people anticipated," said Abou Amara, a Democratic analyst.Polls have been showing more and more states, including traditionally blue Minnesota, within Trump's reach."I...

Warning: Avoid Swimming In This Toxic Minnesota Lake
Minnesota is the Land of 10,000 Lakes, but right now, only 9,999 are fit to swim in after a warning was just posted about staying out of this toxic lake. The hot, humid summer weather that's been prevalent across the North Star State this July might make you want to take a dip on one of our 10,000 lakes to cool off, right? But local officials in this Minnesota city are urging you to avoid any contact with this lake that's now unsafe.

The Minnesota Attorney General’s Office, where I previously worked as a fraud investigator, announced last year its largest ever Medicaid fraud case, charging 18 people with stealing $9.5 million. Not long after, the AG charged three people with stealing nearly $11 million, again in Medicaid funds. In May, eight were charged with defrauding Medicaid of […] The post A Somali-American former investigator: why you’re hearing about fraud in my community appeared first on Minnesota Reformer.

Former Michigan football QB J.J. McCarthy has been ‘incredible’ with Vikings
One of the craziest things I have ever seen is all the pundits and rival fans who just refused to accept that J.J. McCarthy was an elite college football quarterback. The former Michigan football quarterback never had a turnover against Ohio State. He also had a four-touchdown game in the Shoe and led the Wolverines to 45 points, yet he’s “average.”
