    Woman dies in Menominee County crash

    SPALDING TOWNSHIP — A 58-year-old Perronville woman died in a two-vehicle accident Friday in Menominee County.

    The woman died following a head-on collission with her vehicle and another vehicle at about 8:15 a.m.

    Friday at U.S. 2 & 41 and County Road 400, according to the Menominee County Sheriff’s Office. Additional occupants from both vehicles were transported from the scene for injuries sustained in the crash.

    The Menominee County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by personnel from the Hannahville Tribal Police Department, Michigan State Police — Iron Mountain Post, Spalding Township Fire department, Harris Township Fire Department, Hermansville Rescue, Rampart EMS, Guardian Flight air ambulance, and Menominee County 911.

    This incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information related to this traffic fatality is encouraged to contact the Menominee County Sheriff’s Office at (906) 863-4441.
