Northern Indiana Forecast: Isolated Thunderstorms and Gusty Winds Today
Northern Indiana – A frontal boundary will sag south across northern Indiana today, resulting in a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Some of these storms may produce gusty winds over 40 mph this afternoon, primarily south of US Route 6. The National Weather Service reports that the chance of thunderstorms will linger tonight, particularly south of US Route 24, before dry conditions return for the end of the work week.
Ivy Tech FW/Warsaw named a 2024 Metallica Scholars College
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – A local community college is getting a boost from a very well-known metal band. Ivy Tech Community College Fort Wayne and Warsaw is one of 18 community colleges nationwide joining the Metallica Scholars Initiative (MSI) this year. Ivy Tech be receiving a $75,000 grant to enhance the student experience across career and technical education programs.

Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety Hears Updates on Streets and Roads
Street Department Superintendent Jimmy Marquardt updated the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety (BPWS) on streets and roads. Marquardt informed the board that Rieth-Riley Construction is tentatively scheduled to start the Community Crossings street and sidewalk projects on August 9, 2024. If weather permits they expect to complete work by September 14, 2024. That work includes portions of Garro St., Fourth St., Washington St., Bayless St., Miner St, Clinton St., and Monroe St.
