Deadline for Absentee Ballots for August 6 Primary Election
July 26, 2024 – Registered voters in the city who wish to receive an absentee ballot for the August 6 Primary Election must submit their application by mail or via email by 5 p.m. on Friday, August 2, 2024. The Midland City Clerk’s office will be open Saturday, August 3 and Monday, August 5 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to receive in-person requests for absentee ballots, allow in-person absentee ballot voting, register new voters, and assist voters with questions.

Dow gets $120 million from state to retain jobs around Midland
MIDLAND, Mich. (WJRT) - Dow will keep Mid-Michigan as its home for manufacturing, research and development thanks to a $120 million grant approved Tuesday. The Michigan Strategic Fund Board approved the grant aimed at retaining about 5,000 jobs at the Michigan Operations Industrial Park in Midland and the Auburn Operations facilities in neighboring Williams Township.

CARO — To say the least, Walt and Meta Jackson were longtime backers of the Tuscola County Fair. Tuscola County Fair Board President Neil Jackson, of Caro, along with his brothers Gale Jackson and Myron Jackson, and sister Bonnie Carolan, lost their mother in May at the age of 89.
