Ellerhorst Dental Opens in Mantua
Dr. Lydia Ellerhorst was born and raised in Garrettsville. She began her education at Mount Union, completing her dental degree at The Ohio State University. Afterward, she served in the United States Army Dental Corps from 2009 to 2014. “It was five years of hard work, caring for the dental needs of soldiers in and out of deployment.” During that time, she saw eight patients a day, five days a week. While in the Army Dental Corp, Dr. Ellerhorst also completed an Advanced General Dentistry Residency program at Fort Bragg NC, graduating in 2012. She and her family returned to Garrettsville shortly afterward. For the last seven years, she’s worked at a dental clinic in Courtland.

Chipotle slated for The Shoppes at Willoughby Hills
The Willoughby Hills Planning Commission recently approved split lots at The Shoppes at Willoughby Hills as part of its redevelopment. Located at 28301 Chardon Road, the redevelopment is being funded by J. Scott Scheel, the Plaza and Shoppes owner. The city has since credited him and his team, including former City Council President Ray Somich, for their vision to reinvigorate the corner of Chardon and Bishop roads.
Department of Sanitary Sewer Services alerts customers to billing issue
The Summit County Department of Sanitary Sewer Services (DSSS) is aware that some customers, primarily those in Stow, Hudson and Akron, recently received a bill with an incorrect due date or a bill for the first time in several months. If a customer received a bill with a due date of July 19, the correct due date is August 19. Customers set-up for automatic withdrawal will see a payment withdrawn on July 19.
