Whitman County Board Of Adjustment Unanimously Approves Conditional Use Permit For Apparent Amazon Warehouse On Moscow-Pullman Highway
The Whitman County Board of Adjustment has granted a Conditional Use Permit for an apparent Amazon warehouse off the Moscow-Pullman Highway. The board unanimously approved the required CUP during a public hearing in Colfax Thursday night. The applicants are Ambrose Property Group and Kimley-Horn. Those companies build distribution warehouses for Amazon across the country. The application doesn’t mention the online retail giant.
Lawsuit officially filed by parents against Mead School District
MEAD, Wash. — It's official: Mead School District is being sued by parents of a high school football player for alleged abuse by fellow teammates. It was first reported as a sexual assault last year. At least four football players are accused of assaulting teammates with a massage gun during summer training camp, specifically targeting minority students with racist insults.
Two-week operation at Civic Park and Econo Lodge in Moses Lake nets handfuls of arrests related to drugs
In a two-week operation, the Moses Lake Police Street Crimes Unit, in coordination with the Grant County Sheriff's Office Crime Reduction Team and Jail, targeted illegal activities in Civic Park, including areas around the Library and the Econo Lodge. The operation, which involved surveillance and the use of both uniformed and plainclothes officers and detectives, resulted in the detention or arrest of eight individuals.
Woman Arrested for Controlled Substance Homicide in Moses Lake
MOSES LAKE - A 56-year-old woman from Selah, has been arrested in connection with a controlled substance homicide following a suspicious death in Moses Lake. The incident occurred on July 19, when police were called to a residence at 1606 Dynasty Drive at approximately 12:44 PM, where they discovered a deceased individual.

Spokane Police respond to two drive-by shootings Tuesday night
SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane Police Department said they responded to two shootings that happened within 30 minutes of each other Tuesday night. According to SPD, officers responded to several reports of gunshots near Lincoln Street and Cleveland Avenue, with callers reporting to police that shots were fired from a black vehicle that fled. SPD could not find any victims.

Spokane County deputies intervene in violent assault; suspects booked for DUI and assault
SPOKANE, Wash. – Deputies intervened in a violent assault, resulting in one suspect being booked for DUI and another for assault and obstruction. According to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, on July 24 at about 10:35 p.m., deputies on patrol near North Division Street and West Lyons Avenue heard yelling. They saw a woman on the ground being punched and kicked by 18-year-old Alyssa Smith, with two men nearby.
