There won't be any future celebrations for "Sean Diddy Combs Day" in Miami Beach after city officials formally shut it down amid the music mogul's legal issues .

Combs was presented with the proclamation eight years ago by former Miami Beach Mayor Philip Levine at the beginning of the 3rd annual REVOLT Music Conference. According to The Miami Herald , the Miami Beach Commission recently revoked Diddy's day without hesitation.

“Upon reflection, the Mayor and City Commission have determined that recognizing October 13, 2016 as ’Sean Diddy Combs Day’ is no longer in harmony with the City’s values of safety, community well-being, and respect, and wish to rescind the proclamation," the resolution said.

Diddy's ties to Miami Beach run deep, especially after he bought his now-infamous property on Star Island. After buying the home in 2003, Diddy made it official in 2021 when he legally changed his middle name to "LOVE" and listed his Miami Beach mansion as the address on his Florida driver's license.

The Miami Beach Commission's decision to cancel Diddy Day comes three months after his homes in Miami and Los Angeles were raided by the Department of Homeland Security as part of their investigation into sex trafficking allegations against Combs. Federal agents ransacked Diddy's cribs in search of any evidence that may help secure a criminal indictment .

So far, the Bad Boy Records founder has not been charged with a crime, but it's possible that he could be soon. Numerous reports claimed a grand jury planned to convene in New York City last month to hear testimony from witnesses who have filed sexual assault lawsuits against Combs over the past few months.

While no charges have yet to be filed, the "Gotta Move On" artist is still feeling the fallout from his former supporters, especially after video footage of him beating his ex Cassie was released by CNN. Since then, his network REVOLT and Howard University have cut ties with him. Diddy was also asked to return his key to New York City nearly a year after he received it.
