Festival Fun at SOBEWFF

We’re counting the days until the return of the Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival (SOBEWFF) presented by Capital One February 22-25. For its twenty-third edition, the beloved festival brings together a who’s who of today’s highest-profile chefs, rising culinary stars, TV personalities, and noted sommeliers to lead tens of thousands of foodies through four glorious days and 105 awesome events. Here, we spotlight some annual favorites and new headliners to look forward to in 2024, each promising unlimited food, drink, and fun.

Burger Bash

When: February 22, 7:30 to 10:30 p.m.

Buzz: Original host Rachel Ray returns to emcee the seventeenth iteration of this much-hyped burger showdown between top Miami and national chefs held at American Airlines North Venue (entrance located on the sand at 1 Lincoln Road). Come hungry and ready to critique as you eat your way through some 30 handhelds competing for this year’s People’s Choice Award.

Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives Live

When: February 23, 7:30 to 10:30 p.m.

Buzz: Famed chef and Emmy Award–winning TV host Guy Fieri brings his iconic Food Network show to American Airlines North Venue, showcasing the best in unapologetically caloric cuisine from 25-plus roadside diners, vintage drive-ins, and eclectic “dives” featured on his hit show.

Steak and Whiskey

When: February 23, 8 to 11 p.m.

Buzz: The proclaimed “King of Carnivores,” Michael Symon, hosts a night dedicated to pairing two American favorites, steak and whiskey, in Miami’s Design District at Jungle Plaza. Twenty-plus chefs put different spins on the perfect Prime cut, while Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits curate adventures in whiskey tasting and offer endless pours of whiskey-forward cocktails.

Noche Cubana

When: February 23, 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Buzz: Miami’s favorite James Beard Award–winning chef, Michelle Bernstein, her husband, David, Gio Gutierrez , and friends pay homage to Miami’s Cuban roots with a night of ethnic cuisine, cocktails, live music, and dancing at the National Hotel on South Beach.

Bobby’s Triple Threat

When: February 24, 8 to 11 p.m.

Buzz: At the Kimpton Surfcomber Hotel, celebrity chef Bobby Flay and his all-star cast of Triple Threat —chefs Tiffany Derry, Brooke Williamson, and Michael Voltaggio—host a live version of the high-stakes food competition, which sees a team of big-deal chefs facing off against a guest chef and a mystery judge every week.

Bubbles Brunch

When: February 25, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Buzz: Join the co-hosts of Food Network’s The Kitchen , Katie Lee, Jeff Mauro, and Geoffrey Zakarian, over a Sunday Funday of brunch bites, endless bubbles, and rubbing elbows with fellow foodies and reality TV royalty.

Overtown EatUp!

When: February 25, 3 to 7 p.m.

Buzz: James Beard Award–winning chef Marcus Samuelsson hosts an afternoon filled with jazz and African American gastronomic delights by local Overtown chefs at Overtown Ninth Street Pedestrian Mall.
