Camila Cabello & Shawn Mendes Spotted Together at Copa América Final

Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes are seemingly back to spending time together.

The duo were spotted sitting together at the Copa América soccer final between Argentina and Colombia on Sunday (July 14), in a video captured by a fan and shared on X (formerly Twitter) . In the clip, the duo are casually hanging out and chatting inside Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida. However, neither Cabello nor Mendes have confirmed the status of their relationship.

After more than two years of dating, Shawmila announced in November 2021 that they’ve broken up, but will “continue to be best friends.” The pair shared a matching statement, signed “Camila and Shawn,” on their respective Instagram Stories .

“Hey guys, we’ve decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever,” the statement reads. “We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends. We so appreciate your support from the beginning and moving forward.”

Though they didn’t start dating until July 2019, the pair met in 2014 when Mendes and Cabello’s then-group Fifth Harmony both opened for Austin Mahone on tour. In 2015, they released “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” which hit the top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 . Their next duet, 2019’s “Señorita,” topped Hot 100.

The duo were seen seemingly rekindling their romance at Coachella in 2023, but after packing on the PDA at the festival and attending one of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour shows together, the pair called it quits once again. Cabello opened up about getting back together with exes on a 2024 episode of Call Her Daddy .

“It’s crazy because I’m kind of impulsive in that way,” Cabello told host Alex Cooper, reflecting on why she got back together with Mendes in the first place. “If I feel it, I say it. I would rather say it and see what happens and then wake up the next day and find out that it’s been heavily documented. I opted for that route. It is what it is. It was a fun time; it was a fun moment.”

“I will always care about him and love him. He’s such a good person,” she continued. “I’m lucky ’cause some people have exes who are awful, and he is not. He’s a really kind, good person.”
