One NBA fanbase is getting roasted by Oklahoma City Thunder star Chet Holmgren after he called out Miami Heat fans for their lackluster support and tardy arrivals to games.

Holmgren, who is not really known for his outspoken nature, revealed that playing against Erik Spoelstra's Miami Heat is his favorite, citing the sparse attendance at games rather than the city's sunny weather or beaches.

"I like Miami, because it’s just like empty," Holmgren shared on the on the "Road Trippin' Show" podcast.

Last season, the Thunder swept the Heat, securing an eight-point victory in Miami January 10th.

Holmgren averaged 15 points, 2.5 assists, and six rebounds in two games.

Miami's fanbase is notorious for its late arrivals, often attributed to the vibrant nightlife and fashionable culture.

However, they make up for it with their passionate support when they want to, especially during the team's "white hot" playoff nights, which are known for their intense atmosphere.

As an away player at the Kaseya Center, Holmgren emphasized the strategy of building an early lead to quiet the home crowd.

"As the away team, you just got to build that lead in the first three quarters and then it just stays quiet for the fourth," he noted.

Holmgren's bold comments about Miami's fan culture may not endear him to Heat fans, but they certainly add to the anticipation of the upcoming 2024 NBA season, where he is expected to continue making waves as a rising star in the league.
