WNBA Fans Unite In Agreement After Big Angel Reese News

Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese is one WNBA star set to join the Unrivaled Basketball League this offseason. The new league is co-founded by WNBA stars Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier and will take place in Miami, Florida, beginning in 2025.

Reese made the announcement on Wednesday, even giving herself the new nickname, 305 Barbie.

Reese joins other WNBA stars such as Jackie Young, Kahleah Copper, Kelsey Plum, and Jewell Loyd. As it gets closer to kicking off, there could be other players who decide to join the league as well.

WNBA fans were all excited after Reese made the announcement, and it just means those fans get to watch the Sky rookie even in the offseason.

"Yes, Angel Reese is Unrivaled!" one fan wrote on X. A lot of fans mentioned the big get for Breanna Stewart and the Unrivaled League.

"This 3v3 league that Breanna is cooking up gon be fire," one fan wrote. "Yoooo Angel coming out the game in unrivaled!!!!" said another.

And yes, adding players like Angel Reese will be huge for the ratings and ticket sales, as one fan mentioned.

"Oh, they want ratings ratings. I respect it lol"

Reese is having a terrific rookie season, averaging 13.5 points with 11.9 rebounds and she is fresh off an appearance in the WNBA All-Star Game.

The Unrivaled League is a 3-on-3 format that includes six teams competing over 10 weeks. It also has investors such as Carmelo Anthony. Steve Nash,  Alex Morgan and Megan Rapino, so Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier are off to a strong start with this league.
