Miami, FL - A Miami man was arrested on attempted murder charges after allegedly shooting his cousin during a dispute over a parking space on Saturday.

According to Miami Police, 51-year-old Elder Cruz was arrested on Saturday night after allegedly shooting his cousin multiple times following a dispute at their shared home.

Police say the victim sustained four gunshot wounds and was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center for treatment.

Investigators say the shooting occurred when the victim asked Cruz to move his car.

Tensions rose, and the argument turned physical when Cruz allegedly pulled out a gun and fired at his cousin.

The victim managed to lock himself in a bedroom, and Cruz’s wife called 911.

Cruz has been charged with attempted murder, grand theft of a firearm, and discharging a firearm in a residential area.

The weapon used in the shooting was reported stolen from Palm Beach Gardens in 2021.

Cruz is currently being held without bond.

Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding Saturday's shooting to contact Miami Police.
