The Miami Marlins (42-71) sold everything but the farm leading to the 2024 MLB Trade Deadline. Being the most active team this season, they were able to add a bevy of prospects that have already made an impact on their farm system.

ESPN has released its latest farm system rankings , factoring in the 2024 MLB Draft and Trade Deadline. The Marlins find themselves 10 spots higher in the rankings than they were entering the season, now sitting 19th. Here is what Kiley McDaniel had to say about Miami's new ranking:

"While they've moved only 10 slots in these rankings, the Marlins have more than doubled their farm system value with a flurry of trades. Agustin Ramirez , Dillon Head , Deyvison De Los Santos , Robby Snelling , Jakob Marsee , Adam Mazur , Jared Serna , Connor Norby , Nathan Martorella and Graham Pauley are all among Miami's top 20 prospects after being acquired via trades during the season. The top two picks in this year's draft -- PJ Morlando and Carter Johnson -- also join that group. Thomas White has been a notable arrow-up from last year's draft crop while Dax Fulton should return next spring from elbow surgery with a shot to get back to the midrotation look he was giving scouts before going down with the injury."

Adding a total of 12 new names to their list of top-20 prospects, it is easy to see just how much Miami has improved their farm system. We should be seeing no less than three of their new additions on the Major League roster sooner than later.

While the Marlins find themselves toiling away through the doldrums of the summer as the worst team in the National League, their prospects continue their development in the minor leagues, awaiting their chance to come to The Show and help propel Miami to greater heights.
