TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - High school student-athletes in Florida can now make money off their name, image, and likeness, also known as NIL. Wednesday morning, the State Board of Education approved the new Florida High School Athletic Association rules, meaning student-athletes can now receive compensation from business agreements such as advertising products. However, the athletes cannot do so during games or school-sponsored activities.
