Middlesex Corporate Parkway paving complete

MIDDLESEX — Nash County has completed the Middlesex Corporate Parkway’s last leg, county officials announced.

The Middlesex Corporate Parkway serves as the main road through the county-owned 378-acre Middlesex Corporate Centre. Nash County Economic Development noted the finished work in its Wednesday e-newsletter, which included a picture of contractors laying blacktop on the road.

A master-planned business park, the Middlesex Corporate Centre is home to UNC Internal Medicine; FirstWave Innovations, a food processing company and subsidiary of SinnovTek, a Raleigh-based food technology company; GXP-Storage, international headquarters and leading provider of regulatory-compliant storage solutions for life sciences research, manufacturing and health care-related biomedical and biodefense clients; and the county’s third 50,000-square-foot Middlesex shell building.

The business park currently has two 1 million-square-foot building sites available for sale.

County officials credit $9.1 million in state and Golden Leaf Foundation grants with developing the Middlesex Corporate Centre, which has created more than 200 jobs and $300 million in capital investment.
