William Farr purchased his lucky Quick Pick ticket from Quality Mart on Chapel Hill Road in Raleigh. He matched the numbers on four white balls and the red Powerball in the April 6 drawing to win $50,000. Because he bought a Power Play ticket, his prize tripled to $150,000 when the 3X multiplier hit.

Construction begins on newest downtown Raleigh development
RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Kane Realty announced construction has begun on a new mixed-use development in the West End neighborhood of downtown Raleigh. Oldham & Worth is Kane Realty’s second mixed-use residential project in the West End neighborhood. Located at the corner of W. Cabarrus Street and S. West Street the project will feature five stories of upscale apartments, first-class amenities and 4,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. There will also be more than 250 apartment units.
