NJ State Police Helicopter Circles Cedar Brook Park, PHS Area Thursday Morning
PLAINFIELD, NJ — For around 15 minutes on Thursday morning, a New Jersey State Police Helicopter circled the area in and around Cedar Brook Park in Plainfield, cruising at around 500 feet. The helicopter was spotted at around 11:30am. According to publicly available flight information, the helicopter took off at Pulaski Park, in Passaic, NJ, around 24 miles from the center of the flight's path over Plainfield.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE FREE TAPINTO.NET NEWSLETTER The helicopter was in town to visit and do a demonstration for the Queen City Mentoring Academy, a four-week day camp that was established in 2014 for Plainfield residents who will enter 6th through 8th grades. Bridgewater Police Seeking Help Identifying Suspects in Robbery
BRIDGEWATER, NJ - Bridgewater Police are seeking the public's help in identifying suspects who allegedly robbed a business, according to a post on the department's Facebook page. According to police, on July 12, officers responded to a business in the township for a report of a robbery in progress. WESTFIELD, NJ — A resident of Boynton Avenue reported being defrauded out of about $990 on July 11 in a phone scam, Westfield Police said Wednesday. “The victim received a notification via the computer as a Microsoft warning that financial information had been compromised,” Sgt. Monroe County Sheriff's Office investigating 2 separate assaults on women
(CBS DETROIT) - The Monroe County Sheriff's Office is investigating two separate assaults on women in Monroe Township this week. Officials say the first assault occurred in the early morning hours of July 15 in the Waterloo Park area. The second assault happened in the late evening of July 17 in a wooded area along Frenchcreek in the Meadowbrook Mobile Home Community.The perpetrator in both incidents was a man. Officials are working to determine if the same man is responsible for both assaults. The sheriff's office reminds residents to avoid being alone in dark, secluded areas and to be aware of their surroundings. Michigan State Police and Monroe police are assisting in the investigation.
