MIDDLETOWN, NJ: This year’s St. Mary’s Great Fair opened on Monday, June 24th and ran through Saturday, June 29th. It took place in the parking lot at The Parish of Saint Mary’s (19 Cherry Tree Farm Road in Middletown). The fair concluded with a Super 50/50 drawing of over $90,000!

St. Mary’s Great Fair was a very impressive event! The entire lot was filled with a ton of excitement. There were rides for all ages, and even special areas with attractions suggested for “kiddies” and “tiny tots.” Some classic carnival attractions at the fair were a ferris wheel, a carousel, The Zipper, fun houses, a drop tower, and more! There were plenty of ways either to experience a good thrill or just simply have fun! There were stations on site for ticket purchases, as well as a table for tickets purchased in advance.

Aside from the many rides at the fair, there were also plenty of games to play. Depending on the game someone might try their luck at, they could win things like stuffed toys or live goldfish! Other entertaining offerings included a money wheel from the Dads Club at the Saint Mary School and face painting/character meet and greets by My Fairytale Dream.

Some of the food and dessert options at the fair included ice cream, shaved ice, lobster rolls, hamburgers, hot dogs, fried Oreos, fried twinkies, Oreo ice cream sandwiches, funnel cake, pizzelles, chicken tenders, cheesesteaks, empanadas, and much more! There was also a beer tent, as well as one large tent for anyone to sit and enjoy their food. The food tent was also a home for live entertainment throughout the week, including The Wags, Karaoke with Fr. Mark, Jazz Band with Joe, Karaoke Night with the Queen of Karaoke: Miss M, Rock and Roll music, and DJ Steve.

Rebecca Throckmorton, an Eatontown resident, visited St. Mary’s Great Fair with her family. “I liked the variety of things to do. If you’re a ride person there’s rides for you, if not there’s games to play, and good food to check out. There’s something for everyone at the fair,” said Throckmorton.

This year’s fair at St. Mary’s was a very exciting and popular event! It was a great way to enjoy some classic summer fun with friends and family.
