    Body recovered from Middletown trash can

    DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Law enforcement is investigating after a body was recovered from a trash can in Middletown.

    The Middletown Division of Police reports officers were dispatched Monday, July 1 around 11:10 a.m. to the 1000 block of Centennial Avenue. Officers responded to a potential person who was dead.

    At the scene, Middletown officers reportedly found the body of a person inside of a trash can in an alley, according to police.

    Martin Schneider, administrator of the Butler County Coroner’s Office, told 2 NEWS his office was requested to the scene on Monday afternoon. The coroner’s office responded and took the body to determine the cause and manner of death.
