Celebrate 4th of July in Poultney

Summer Smash Demolition Derby is back a the Rutland Fairgrounds
Thursday, July 4—RUTLAND—There will be a live demo derby at The Vermont State Fairgrounds, 175 So. Main St., Rutland, followed by Fireworks to 9:45 p.m. Ticket prices are $12 + for grandstand general amission plus tax. Trackside general admission tickets are $25 + tax. A boxes are $140 + tax, with the B boxes going for $120 + tax. Age 5 and under are free.

MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) – Funding from Governor Phil Scott aims to give unused land a second life. All told, the investment is nearly $3 million. Six properties are sharing almost $2 million from the state’s Brownfields Revitalization Fund. Those projects are in Newport, St. Johnsbury, West Rutland, and Windsor.
