Thieves Snatch Cars’ Catalytic Converters
Four township residents reported in May that their cars’ catalytic converters had been stolen. Township police released the information on July 24. Sometime between May 22 and May 23, someone cut the catalytic converter from a car parked in the area of Victor Street. The converter’s value was estimated at $2,300.

Bushkill Township Man Charged with Theft of Air Conditioners from Pennsylvania Animal Hospital
In a case that highlights the often-overlooked value of HVAC systems, a Bushkill Township man has been charged with the brazen theft of two air conditioners from an animal hospital. Pennsylvania State Police reported yesterday that the 36-year-old suspect, identified as Kyle Anthony Kleintop, is accused of dismantling and absconding with the units from HanoverView Animal Hospital in East Allen Township. The components were reported to have been broken into pieces before being hauled away, leaving the hospital staff and resident animals to face a day in undue heat until replacements could be installed.
Franklin Township Police Log For May 19 to June 1, 2024
(Note: Police released this information on July 24.) Franklin Township Police received a complaint of a male shooting a crossbow in a parking lot in the area of Jacques Lane. Officers responded to the area, contacted the involved party and advised him of the dangers of shooting a crossbow in that area. The male understood the concerns raised and left the scene voluntarily.
JCP&L Transmission Line Patrols Aug 5- Sept 15
Please be advised that JCP&L will be conducting routine patrols of our transmission lines starting on August 5th. All lines to be flown are within JCP&L service territory. These patrols will be performed by our contractor, GeoDigital and are expected to be completed around September 15th, 2024. Inclement weather or any line outage patrols may prolong completion. The helicopter being used for these patrols is a Helo Air Bell Jet Ranger 206B, blue and white in color, tail number N894HA (see attached image). A routine patrol is flown at about 30-35 mph and 400’ above the transmission line(s) and structure. The pilot will be in communication with any local airports when in their airspace.
