CVS storefront, ATM destroyed in Northwest DC
WASHINGTON — An ATM was ripped from a storefront and destroyed in Northwest D.C. early Monday morning. Police were called to a CVS at 3:51 a.m. after people broke the window and frame of the storefront, grabbed the ATM and destroyed it on E Street NW near Virginia Avenue. They left the ATM on the street in front of the building. In photos posted online by Doc Meyer, it appears that the entire glass wall was shattered and the glass door was pulled from the frame, breaking the frame as well.

Update On Esperanza Middle School Opening
LEONARDTOWN, MD - Esperanza Middle School will resume in-person instruction on Wednesday, August 28, 2024. Working with the St. Mary’s County Public Schools (SMCPS), ServPro was contracted to complete the mold mitigation process. ServPro has been on site, has developed a plan, and has begun their work. In an abundance of caution, additional air quality testing from ESI Environmental Solutions is being conducted and Esperanza Middle School (EMS) will remain virtual through Tuesday, August 27th. North America’s largest Middle Eastern restaurant chain is opening this week in Northern Virginia.
