    MIDLAND/ODESSA, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)- It’s Taco Tuesday in the Permian Basin and several local restaurants and food trucks offer special prices in light of this classic Tuesday tradition.

    Here are some local restaurants and food trucks to try out and visit for Taco Tuesday:

    Tall City Brick Oven Pizza

    702 West Wall Street, Midland TX.

    The Tall City Brick Oven Pizza is a pizza food truck that celebrates the classic Tuesday tradition with its very own “Taco Pizza.”

    The pizza, (that is made from scratch every day) is made with its tomato sauce base, and after being baked in the pizza brick oven, it is topped with real seasoned taco beef, lettuce, cheese, and tomatoes, and finished with a hot sauce on the side.

    A customer who was ordering said that he had been going to the food truck nonstop since he first tried it and was going to try the Taco Pizza. “I haven’t been having pizza lately, but after I had this pizza, I wanted it every day, so I’ve been coming here almost every week; It’s not just any pizza, It’s THIS pizza,” he said.

    Martinez Bakery Express is another local restaurant that serves the Permian Basin and has a daily Taco Tuesday special options that include: Fajitas de res/beef fajita, estofado/brisket, barbacoa, pollo/chicken, and a drink.

    The reviews on the Martinez Bakery Express described how much people enjoy the food. “It’s the best brisket tacos I have ever had and best in Midland, in my opinion. I love coming here, If you live in Greenwood, this place is worth trying out.” a customer said.

    Vaqueros Over the Fire

    Open Tuesday to Friday from 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. and Saturday/Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

    Limon Con Chile is a restaurant that serves Odessa and Midland traditional Mexican food and according to their website, “the best tacos in town.”

    The tacos at Limon con Chile are wide in variety, from chicken, birria, blackened tilapia, spicy shrimp, pastor, carne asada, and more. The meal contains three tacos with your choice of meat, served with a side of rice and beans.

    Customers said that Limon con Chile was their new favorite place to go for tacos and that the food is “some of the very best.”
