Free & Cheap Summer Movie Deals for Kids in El Paso

It happens around this time every year. School lets out and suddenly you’ve got a house full of kids with a lot of free time on their hands.

Going to the movies is a great way to keep the kids entertained. And if you can do it for cheap, even better. An inflation-hit budget doesn't mean you can't treat the kiddos to a movie outing.

All four of the big movie theater chains around town are putting on weekly free or discounted movie camps, offering parents a cool way to keep the kids entertained and out of the hot summer sun.

Premiere Cinemas Bassett 2024 Summer Kids Fest

Every Wednesday and Thursday in June and July they'll be showing family-friendly flicks for free. And you can't get any more affordable than free.

Showtimes are 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Featured movies include “TMNT: Mutant Mayhem,” “Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie,” and “Sonic the Hedgehog 2”. All of the movies that are part of the series are all-ages and rated G or PG. [More Info + Movie List]

Cinemark 2024 Summer Movie Clubhouse

Ten weeks of kid-approved movies each Wednesday through August 15. Admission for Cinemark's Summer Movie Clubhouse is $1.75 for kids and adults. Three Cinemark theaters are participating.

“Trolls Band Together,” “Migration,” and “The Lego Movie” are among the classic kid-fare featured. El Paso theaters participating are Cinemark 20 in the Las Palmas Marketplace, Cinemark West at 7440 Remcon Circle, and Cinemark 14 in the Cielo Vista Mall parking lot. [More Info + Movie List]

2024 AMC Summer Movie Camp

AMC Summer Movie Camp runs twice a week from the end of June through mid-August.

The ever-popular “Despicable Me” and “Sing” movies are among the kid-approved favorites being screened on Mondays and Wednesdays. Tickets are $3.

The AMC Classic East Pointe 12 and the AMC El Paso 16 are the El Paso AMC Theatre participating. [More Info + Movie List]

Alamo Drafthouse 2024 Summer Kids Camp

Alamo Drafthouse East and the Montecillo location on the west side will be hosting Summer Kids Camp through the end of August. Each week brings a new selection.

For $5, kids of all ages can watch a slew of movies ranging from animated kids classic like “The Land Before Time” and “The Lorax” to life action family-friendly films that include "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial" and “Matilda”. [More Info + Movie List]
