The Milaca Fine Arts Council is excited to announce their summer concert series “Music in the Park.” Dates for each Thursday performance at the Rec Park Bandshell, located at 435 Second St. NW in Milaca, are June 27, July 11, and July 18 at 6:30 p.m. All concerts are free and open to the public.

Salsa del Soul will perform the June 27 concert. Salsa del Soul performs various styles of dance music from the Spanish-speaking regions of the Caribbean. Salsa del Soul was formed with the purpose to provide great dance music for Salsa fans. The musicians of Salsa del Soul represent some of the finest talents in the Twin Cities Latin music scene. The styles of music they perform include Son, Son Montuno, Plena, Cha-cha-cha, Bachata, Merengue, Timba, and, of course, Salsa.

Down the Road will perform the July 11 concert. Down the Road plays an amazing mix of country favorites and includes rock hits from the ‘50s and ‘60s. Their performance consists of awesome harmonies between the three members.

The 22nd Row will perform the July 18 concert. The 22nd Row is an Elton John tribute band. The six members celebrate the hits of Sir Elton from the ‘70s through the ‘90s and add a few Billy Joel songs for a bonus.

The Milaca Fine Arts Council brings art and community together through quality arts programming, including their Music in the Park concert series, Community Art Show & Open Mic, Eat Drink Paint events, and their MAC the Halls Holiday Boutique.

The City of Milaca is located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 169 and Minnesota Highway 23 approximately 60 miles north of Minneapolis. The Rec Park Bandshell, styled after the famous Hollywood Bowl, takes full advantage of its proximity to the Rum River as an outdoor concert venue.
