Bucks County Lake Listed as One of the Best Spots for Bass Fishing in Pennsylvania
A lake in Bucks County is being recognized as one of the best spots in the state for a long-beloved outdoor activity. Brian Whipkey wrote about the local lake for GoErie. Nockamixon Lake, located within Nockamixon State Park in Quakertown, was listed amongst several large reservoirs in Pennsylvania where bass fishing is plentiful. A popular destination for local residents and visitors to the area, the lake and its park are replete with opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors.
New Michael Pilato Mural to Be Installed in Downtown Bellefonte
A new mural by artist and Centre County native Michael Pilato will soon adorn the exterior of the Waffle Shop in downtown Bellefonte. Pilato will install the mural celebrating several aspects of the borough's history beginning Aug. 2 during the Bellefonte Arts & Crafts Fair, according to an announcement from the Waffle Shop. It will be located near the new "Air Mail" mural installed in May on Perry Lane by artists Key Detail. A jackpot-winning Pennsylvania Lottery Match 6 Lotto ticket worth $860,000 was sold in Bucks County on Monday, according to the PA Lottery. "The ticket correctly matched all six winning numbers, 2-4-5-7-9-11, to win the $860,000 jackpot prize, less applicable withholding," according to the lottery. The winning ticket was sold at Smoker’s Express, 3 Bustleton Pike, Feasterville-Trevose. The store "will earn a $5,000 bonus for selling the big winning ticket," according to a news release.
