One of the most popular events of the summer, Milford Museum’s Hippiefest, will return to the lawn of the Causey Mansion on Saturday, August 17 from 3 PM to 8 PM. All proceeds from the event benefit the Milford Museum.

“This is always a really fun event,” Tom Summers, Director of the museum said. “Although we always say costumes are optional, it seems that everyone who attends is wearing some of their favorite tie-dye, fringe, mini-skirts and go-go boots.”

The music for this year’s event will be provided by The Funsters, a popular oldies band in the area. DJ Dana McDonald will also be spinning tunes. Food and retail vendors will be on hand. Bring a chair, a blanket and your drink of choice to enjoy games, dancing and great music.

“There is no parking on the grounds of Causey Mansion, but there are many parking lots in the area,” Summers said. “Parking is available on the street along Walnut and Front, in the parking lot across from my Sister’s Fault and in the city lot behind the Presbyterian Church. There are also to lots at the end of Walnut Street by Penny Square that are only about two blocks from the mansion.”

Tickets are $35 if purchased before August 1, $45 if purchased from August 1 through 16 and $50 at the gate. Attendees must be 21 to attend and no furry friends are permitted. Tickets can be purchased online at www.milforddemuseum.org or at the museum located at 121 South Walnut Street in Milford. For more information call 302-424-1080. Causey Mansion is located at 2 Causey Avenue in Milford.
