Raising Cane’s started its expansion into the D.C. metropolitan region when its first area restaurant in December 2022 in Sterling, VA (45545 Dulles Eastern Plaza). Juvenile Crashes Stolen Vehicle into BMW Dealership in Burglary Attempt; Arrest Made on Scene
A juvenile suspect was arrested Friday night after crashing a stolen vehicle into the BMW dealership in the 1400blk of Rockville Pike. According to the Rockville City Police Department (RCPD): “Last night at approximately 11:33pm, RCPD responded the BMW dealership on Rockville Pike for a report of a burglary in progress. The investigation determined a juvenile male made unlawful entry into the building by crashing a vehicle into the dealership. Once inside the dealership, the juvenile removed several keys and attempted to flee the scene in the same vehicle used to make entry.

Rising Sun High School football players demonstrated solidarity with head coach Dom Massimiano by shaving their heads at the start of practice. Massimiano, a cancer survivor diagnosed with lymphoma last year, had previously undergone chemotherapy that affected his hair. This team gesture highlights the strong bond between the players and their coach, who emphasized the emotional significance of such support beyond just wins. Junior Owen McBride organized the event, suggesting it during a family vacation, and Massimiano was taken by surprise when the players executed their plan. Ikea Employees Are Getting New AI Drone Coworkers in the U.S.
Ikea plans to introduce autonomous AI-enabled drones in its Perryville, Maryland, distribution center, according to a press release Friday. And while the Swedish company has been experimenting with drones globally since 2021, this is the first time those UAVs are going to be working alongside Ikea workers in the U.S. to do inventory checks and reduce the physical strain on human workers.

Baltimore City Assistant Sheriff and Legal Advisor Nicholas Blendy was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) in Ocean City, with the incident occurring early Thursday morning. According to FOX Baltimore, after dealing with a separate traffic stop shortly after 2 a.m., an officer noticed a vehicle, driven by Blendy, exceeding the speed limit and moving erratically between lanes.
