( KRON ) — A San Mateo resident is accused of robbing a woman while the victim was unloading her car, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office.

Around 1:30 p.m. on Monday, deputies were dispatched to the area of Helen Drive and Evergreen Way in Millbrae for a woman in distress.

Responding deputies contacted a 27-year-old female Millbrae resident. The sheriff's office said the woman was loading items from her car into her home. The woman noticed a vehicle drive up and then a man began to steal the items from her car. The woman confronted the suspect. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the brief altercation that ensued.
