    Millburn Recreation Department Holds Ribbon Cutting Grand Opening of New Gero Park Pickleball Courts

    MILLBURN, NJ – On Thursday, July 18, Millburn’s Recreation Department invited residents to celebrate the opening of its four new pickleball courts.

    Millburn Recreation Director Chris Myers shared, “I and the entire recreation team are extremely excited to welcome Millburn residents to this new facility and thank everyone who played a role in contributing to the completion of this project.”

    He specifically expressed gratitude for the help of Mayor Annette Romano, Township Committeeman Liaison Ben Stoller and the rest of the Millburn Township Committee. “We thank you for your unwavering support of Recreation programs and for helping us reach our goals.”

    In addition, Myers thanked the Board of Recreation Commissioners, especially Chairman Nick Romano, Tara Halpern, Atul Dalmia and Tony Wolk who were all in attendance. “The Commission made this project a priority for the past couple of years, and I know they are proud to see it come to fruition,” said Myers.

    Myers commented “Denbar Construction worked diligently to complete this project on time.” He also thanked the Millburn Short Hills Youth Baseball “for their patience during the construction” while they were playing baseball this spring.

    He concluded, “Most importantly, I want to thank the Millburn pickleball players for their passion and insight to help make this project a reality. We look forward to watching you play on these courts for many years to come.”

    Players can reserve a court by going online and purchasing a Millburn Pickleball/Tennis membership . Otherwise, the courts are first come, first served. Reservations get priority. For additional information, click HERE .

    Lights are expected to be installed by the end of 2025.
