Sen. Dean Murray, the Suffolk County Police Department, and the South Country Ambulance will be hosting a child safety seat check on Aug. 6. The event will take place from 3 to 6 p.m. at the South Country Ambulance Company in Bellport. Members of the Suffolk County Sherriff’s Department will be on site to inspect car seats and provide parents with essential information about child passenger safety. Appointments are recommended and can be made by calling Murray’s district office at 631-360-3356. Walk-ins are welcome upon availability.
