Man Charged After Trigg County High-Speed Pursuit
A Hendersonville, Tennessee, man was charged after a high-speed pursuit in Trigg County Monday morning. Trigg County Sheriff’s deputies say they joined a pursuit on US 68 at South Road that started with Cadiz Police involving a motorcycle driven by 26-year-old Lemonte Newsome who was speeding and he fled at speeds of 120mph.
Mother Charged in Drowning of Child in Hendersonville
On July 13, 2024, the Hendersonville Police Department was notified of a child that had drowned in Drakes Creek near 200 Sanders Ferry Rd in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Detectives responded to investigate and determined that the child’s mother, Brandi Elliott (33), was responsible for the child’s death. Elliott was subsequently charged with First Degree Murder and transported to the Sumner County Jail.
