A few months ago, Morgan found a stray dog in Nashville that she took in. She tried finding the dog’s owner, but no one ever came forward. So, she worked with a local shelter, Proverbs Rescue, and helped clean her up and get her healthy and ready for adoption. Morgan also became a foster for the dog to help it find its forever home!

The retailer says its more than 20,000 locations in 48 states offer an expansive selection of back-to-school items to meet its customers’ needs, along with special deals and savings to set students and teachers up for success as they prepare to return to the classroom.
Bayou Keys Dueling Piano Bar Now Open in Nashville
TC Restaurant Group, Music City’s leader in entertainment and dining destinations, has unveiled its newest concept, Bayou Keys. The dueling piano bar and speakeasy-style lounge is located at 120 Third Ave. S. in Nashville, next door to Lainey Wilson’s recently opened Bell Bottoms Up. Thematically tying into the Grammy-winning artist’s Louisiana roots, it aims to deliver good times on the bayou to Lower Broadway.

Shelter forced to evacuate animals after air conditioning fails
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Nashville Humane Association is without air conditioning at possibly the worst time to be without a way to keep cool. With a heat advisory in effect for the Nashville area until 8 p.m., Nashville Humane reported its location on Oceola Avenue has been without air conditioning since Sunday. Staff at the shelter were told a permanent fix cannot happen until Thursday.
Cities Offering the Best Barbecue in the Country
Recently LawnStarter released its 2024 ranking of the Best Barbecue Cities in America. Nashville came in as number 20 out of 500 cities. The top city on the list was Kansas City, Missouri, with Kansas City, Kansas coming in fourth. While Kansas City may self-proclaim themselves the Barbecue Capital of the World, Memphis, Tennessee came in second, up from fourth last year.
