Former Mansfield resident competes in 2024 Olympic trials at 58
(WENY) - A former Mansfield, Pennsylvania resident competed in the 2024 Olympic trials in Eugene, Oregon Saturday morning. Originally from Madison, Wisconsin, Michelle Rohl lived in Mansfield for the last 23 years, moving away just last week with her husband. She is a track athlete who competes in the 20k (12.42 miles) race walk event.

Olean Oilers Sweep Horseheads Hitmen in Doubleheader
OLEAN, NY — The Oilers swept a doubleheader against the Horseheads Hitmen Sunday. Shortstop Joshua Wilson's solo home run in the bottom of the fourth inning gave the Oilers a 2-1 lead in Game 1. Oilers first baseman Chase Fischer hit an RBI double in the bottom of the second inning of Game 2 and would eventually score off a wild pitch, giving the Oilers a 2-0 lead. The Oilers would go on to win, 5-1. Drew Norton started, pitching five innings and allowing one run on four hits. Relief pitcher and Cuba native Joe Long closed out the game, pitching two innings, allowing no runs or hits. The Oilers will make up a game against the Hornell Steamers on Monday.
