Drivers killed fewer pedestrians in 2023, except in Pennsylvania

Contributions Continue To Come In, For Injured Chemung County Investigator
The Chemung County Sheriff’s Department says, the Elmira Kiwanis Club donated $1,000 to go towards medical bills of Chemung County I0nvestigator Mike Theetge, who was injured on March 29th, while trying to arrest two suspects at a Target store in Big Flats. Officials say that Theetge jumped on the hood of a parked car which drove away, leaving the investigator with numerous injuries.

The Town of Elmira’s public pool at Pirozzolo Park is preparing to open for the season on Monday, July 1. The pool will be open seven days a week through Aug. 25.
