Earthquake Shakes Illinois: Shocking Footage Inside (Video)
A 3.4 magnitude earthquake struck Northern Illinois early this morning. The earthquake occurred a little before 3 a.m. in Southern DeKalb County, near the town of Somonauk. The earthquake was felt in various locations including Winthrop Harbor, Cary, and Yorkville. Heather and Cory were awakened by the quake, initially mistaking it for a storm. Marcia in Winthrop Harbor reported feeling her house shake. A resident in Cary noticed the loud and rumbly noise, distinguishing it from thunder. Dan in Yorkville also felt the earthquake.

Coroner details how 1800s remains found in Yorkville were identified
Historical records were used to determine the identity of remains that were found by accident by workers in Yorkville last month. Kendall County Coroner Jacquie Purcell says once the remains were determined to be those of a woman aged 18 to 25, it was a matter of cross-referencing who was buried at the former Bristol Burying Grounds, now a residential neighborhood in the 200 block of Park Street, to determine that her name was Lucy Crater.
