MT. MORRIS TWP., MI -- For the second time this election cycle, a Genesee County candidate on the Aug. 6 ballot has died just weeks before the primary. Mt. Morris Township Treasurer Gayle Armstrong, 79, died on Monday, July 22, two weeks after the death of Tim Sneller, 68, a former state representative who was seeking to return to the Michigan Legislature in this year’s election.
