A severe storm tore through mobile homes at Rock Cabin Park in Steuben County on Monday evening, leaving several homes damaged. Several residents of Rock Cabin Park, a mobile home park in Schuyler County, are unable to return home after a severe storm tore through the area Monday evening, taking down trees and powerlines and leaving destroyed trailers in its wake.
Horseheads Village Fire Department in Need of Repairs, Upgrades
HORSEHEADS, NY (WENY) -- A facility study of the Horseheads Village Fire Department shows the building is in need of significant repairs and improvements. The results of the facility study on the fire department, conducted by Hunt Engineers, Architects & Surveyors, was presented to the Horseheads Village Board of Trustees Thursday evening. The study found the fire department building was in need of mostly structural and architectural repairs. However, some other components are not up to current code standards, and would need to be updated.

Newfield offering funds for septic system repairs
As the town of Newfield reaches the conclusion of its sewer system enhancement project, officials are offering funding for septic repairs on specific properties.
