Ithaca man arrested on weapons charges
ITHACA, N.Y. (WETM) — An Ithaca man is facing multiple charges after police say they found a rifle, a bulletproof vest, and ammo in his home. Jerimiah C. Greenidge, 25, was arrested on July 16 after an investigation into recent shootings and weapons violations in Ithaca. According to the Ithaca Police Department, officers searched Greenridge’s apartment at the Arthaus, located at 130 Cherry St., on a warrant.

Drinking water available for residents without power
(WENY) -- With over 10,000 people in Chemung County alone without power, a number of fresh water stations have been set up on Tuesday, July 16th to help people get by. Chemung County Emergency Management has set up water distribution site in Elmira at the Southport Volunteer Fire Department located at 1001 Carl St. and the East Water Street and Dewitt Ave. Parking Lot located next to the Clarion Inn.
Cooling stations open in Chemung County amid power outages
As power outages continue to affect the Southern Tier, Chemung County officials have set up temporary cooling stations to provide relief from the heat. Residents impacted by the storms can visit the main branch of the Steele Memorial Library at 101 East Church Street and New Beginnings Church at 300 East Miller Street in Elmira.
